San Francisco 49ers Miracle Schedule

For years the San Francisco 49ers have been one of the most watched teams in the league and as they are surprisingly at 3-1 only suffering from a heartbreaking loss to the Cowboys, the 49ers 2011 season will only get more exciting. As the 49ers schedule shows, they will have a great chance at winning the NFC west and maybe even the conference. This is exciting for fans as they purchase their 49ers tickets. Though the 49ers are by no means a Super Bowl favorite, they have drastically improved and are looking to reach the playoffs for the first time since the 2002 season.

After the 49ers proved that they can win on the road, more surprisingly in the east coast, they have truly shown that the next few weeks will become vital to their playoff push. They now will be tested by the Tampa Buccaneers who are also at 3-1.  When the two teams played last year, the Bucs demolished the Niners 21-0 and San Francisco looks to redeem themselves this year behind Frank Gore and Alex Smith. This will be the Niners third home game and will be great for the home crowd at Candlestick.

After the 49ers head over to the east again to face the revamped Detroit Lions, they will then head back home to face the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are currently 2-2 and will be a good challenge for the 49ers.

The 49ers schedule then leads them to a week 11 battle between the division rivals Arizona Cardinals. The 2008 and 2009 NFC west champs are currently at 1-3 and if the Niners are able to handle them at home, the Niners could be looking at a season changing win during week 11. The Niners then find themselves in Baltimore to face the Ravens.

By week 13, the NFC west will most likely be a very tight race as the Cardinals, Seahawks and the Rams are very dangerous teams. The Rams come to town this week and will be one of the biggest challenges during the 49ers schedule. They will have to consistently run the ball and occasionally throw long bombs in order to fully attack St. Louis. For the Niners to win the division, they must ultimately play very well against teams in their division. After they face the Rams in week 13, they then face the Cardinals in Arizona on week 14.

By the last week of the regular season, the Niners season most likely come down to their battle against the Seattle Seahawks. The whole 49ers schedule will come down to this one game against division rivals. Whether or not the 49ers will reach the playoffs can inevitably be decided during this game. The 49ers are easily one of the more exciting teams to watch this year and if the team by the bay can pull a few miracles, they just might have enough fan following to help create the magic that the San Francisco Giants created in 2010, when they won the World Series. Though there are no Tim Lincecums or Buster Poseys, Frank Gore and Alex Smith just might be the new San Francisco Heroes to create the next miracle.

Jim Harbaugh New Head Coach of the 49ers

Jim Harbough started his football career back in high school where he played both in junior high, and later in high school, where he graduated in 1982. He chose to attend the University of Michigan where he played under coach Bo Schembechler. During his three years as a starter he was in the top five for passing attempts, completions, completion percentage, passing yards, and touchdown passes in the history of the school. For 12 years he also held the NCAA Division I FBS passing efficiency rating record.

He ended his college career after four years, and in the 1987 draft he went first round, 27th pick by the Chicago Bears. He would remain with the Bears for seven seasons, and in 1991 he passed for a career high of 3,121 yards. In 1994 he went to the Indianapolis Colts where he achieved career highs in completion percentage and touchdown passes. In 1995 he was voted to the Pro Bowl, named Comeback Player of the Year, AFC Player of the Year, and runner-up for NFL MVP.  He would later leave the Colts but only to make room for the rookie Peyton Manning.

In 1997 he was traded to the Baltimore Ravens but only played for a year, without anything major happening, and with splitting his time played with another QB. He then moved onto the San Diego Chargers and played for two more years. His first year would end with an 8-8 record, and the second ended with a 1-15 record. In 2001 he went to the Detroit Lions but was cut, and finished his career with the Carolina Panthers, where he only dressed for six games.

During the years of 1994 to 2001 Harbaugh was an NCAA-certified unpaid assistant coach at Western Kentucky University where his father was the head coach. He was an offensive consultant where he would scout and recruit high school athletes. From here he went onto the Oakland Raiders where he served as the offensive assistant coach, and in 2003 he served as the quarterbacks coach.

In 2004 Harbaugh became the head coach at the University of San Diego, and in the first few years he was able to improve their record to 11-1, and they won two Pioneer Football League Championships. In 2006 he went to Stanford University as the head coach, and had a stellar career all the way to 2010 when the team went 11-1 in regular season, winning the orange Bowl, and a BCS ranking of #4. He was also named the Woody Hayes Coach of the Year Award recipient.

Jim Harbaugh was named head coach of the San Francisco 49ers on January 7th, 2011 making him the teams 18th head coach. The news would come just four days after his Orange Bowl victory, and deeply disappoint the other teams that were seeking him to become their head coach. He has high hopes for the 49ers, and wants to bring back the “West Coast Offense.” He believes that he will help guide and mold QB Alex Smith in the perfect offensive weapon. Will he be successful? Only time will tell. Although, 49ers fans seem to trust their head coach as they buy up all the 49ers tickets.

Get to Know the San Francisco 49ers’ Home Stadium: Candle Stick Park, and its Unique Traits

Windy, chilly, and lush with its often damp authentic bluegrass surface that simmers with anticipation minutes before every bloodbath football games makes for a unique but tricky playing condition at the much beloved home stadium of the San Francisco 49ers’ Candlestick Park–or simply ‘the Stick’ to the smitten locals.   It is so famous for its hard-to-duplicate and equally hard to master gaming atmosphere that even baseball Hall of Fame figure Willie Stargel, who was a native Californian athlete, once lamented, “The Giants were a good team, but our biggest enemy was said to be Candlestick Park,” uttered, after a shocking, and disappointing loss.

A baseball figure’s oft-quoted remark about the home of the San Frisco football league is not surprising, since the now officially 49ers’ home was built originally for the pro-baseball team of San Francisco Giants, until the latter transferred to a different home stadium during year 2000, making it officially exclusively the home arena of the 49ers.

Prominent and towering on the west shores of the San Francisco Bay, the Candlestick Park, having 69,843 seating capacity, with its illustrious history of having been the repeated battleground for prominence and dominance on the field of football, The Stick, often inundated by the powerful and salty breeze of the ocean, makes it a formidable element in any driven football team’s quest for excellence. Once known as the coldest stadium ever among all major leagues, with players having to contend with the fervent gusts of damp ocean winds, the Candlestick Park is easily the top favorite of anyone who wants the gut-wrenching battle of titans of American football as authentically medieval and brutal as possible.   Overcoming frozen and damp shoes has proved too much even for the professional players though, prompting the stadium management to try and eliminate the problematic sea air by thoroughly enclosing the park in 1971. It has done little improvement. The freezing wet air remains to this day. But by 2015, it is set to be replaced by a new 49ers official stadium.

As a real-time stadium spectator though, much provisions and comfort is available for your enjoyment. With features and amenities such as accessible elevator entrance at the southeast side of the stadium adjacent to the “Players’ Parking Lot,” the 49ers monicker for their warrior’s designated parking space. Fed-Ex also co-sponsors with the 49er team a 49ERS Tailgate Party, located between Gates E and F, with an all-you can eat buffet serving, which starts 3 hours prior to every game and stops at the end of such event. There is live entertainment by a DJ, and a chance to score an autograph from  retired 49ers who are mingling with the crowd. Beer is all you can chug down too.

Official 49ers merchandise is also available for sale in the stadium’s  Bud Light GOLDMINE (Gate F), open 3 hours prior to every game and closes down once the game concludes. Rabid fans should check out their promised new  SF 49er apparels every week.

Ladies will also love the plentiful comfort rooms for their own needs, which numbers close to thirty-one of them as of last count. Boys shouldn’t worry, they don’t come far behind with regards to the numbers.

Other notable amenities which the Candlestick Park has for its spectators and visitors are: 150 accessible parking spaces (25$ charge, free for persons with disability), wheelchair accessible telephones with volume controls, assistive listening devices (bring your IDs with you), a bar (mezzanine sec: 36), and a grill joint (mezzanine, above gate B). Just remember to wear your sweaters.

Is News on the 49ers Gettting Better?

The San Francisco 49ers are 1-1 in the National Football Conference Western Division and it is a position they would love to remain in the rest of the season.  The San Francisco 49ers News has not been as exciting since the days of QB Joe Montana and WR Jerry Rice.  In 2008 the 49ers finished 7-9, in 2009 they finished 8-8, and last season they fell to 6-10.  First year head coach Jim Harbaugh has brought great hope and anticipation for all 49ers tickets holders.  Jim is the brother of John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Baltimore Colts, who has been quite successful in his young coaching career.

Jim Harbaugh decided to go with QB Alex Smith as his starter although it has not been the key to success for the struggling 49ers so far.  Smith has the right attitude because he knows QB’s do not have to throw a gazillion yards a game to win; they simply have to control the game.  If Alex Smith can find that in himself; it will be of great value and make big San Francisco 49ers News.

The San Francisco 49ers travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals this weekend and it should be fun. They go into Sunday’s game as 3 point underdogs even thought the 49ers have a better winning percentage over the Cincinnati Bengals. These two teams have faced just over a dozen times in their history, but two of those games made history.  The San Francisco 49ers has defeated the Cincinnati Bengals twice in the biggest game of all, the Super Bowl.  Although both games were played in the 1980’s; these are memories that never really heal.

The 49ers have become a team shining with hope as fans responds positively by selling out on all 49ers tickets. Although it seems they are unable to get over the hump to greatness in recent years. A win against the Bengals would make news on the San Francisco 49ers a little better.
